International award winning songwriter/singer Steve Foster has written a ballad about the clipper ship City of Adelaide. Steve is donating the proceeds from sales of the song to help to save her from destruction, and to help raise the money to bring her home to Port Adelaide.

Adelaide's own international award winning singer/songwriter, Steve Foster has written hits for John Farnham and Little River Band, has performed Australia wide with stars of the world's music industry. Steve is a singer, guitarist, mandolin, harmonica player. His styles range from folk, rock, alt. country, pop, bluegrass, “newgrass”, ballads, jazz, movie music, blues & swing. Steve is well known for his huge European hit that he wrote with G. Goble, "Forever Blue", which was the last recording that John Farnham did with Little River Band. Steve Foster won the 2006 APRA/SACCM SA Country Song of the Year ( traditional) for his upbeat song: "I Guess I'm Gonna Need Somebody Else" which is track 10 on his CD Steve Foster Blackwood County. Steve has performed as a solo act, part of the Bootleg Family with Brian Cadd , as well as lead singer and support to many international acts, all over Australia.
